Internet stuff - save youtube video

As home "go-to-IT-guru" I find myself often searching internet for useful tools that help the overall internet usage experience. My favorites are add-ons to web browsers and sites that make available some of locked content.

Newly discovered tool is - savetube if you want to have one of youtube movies on your desktop or just the music from it, this nice and easy in use site will help you to do the magic trick.

Important stuff - DON'T click on ad's, nor do not install "super-duper" promised software. There are only two things you need for this to work properly: adobe flash (actually that's for youtube more), and newest Java. If you don't have them go to Adobe and Java, go to download (update) section and get a version for your browser (I recommend to switch to Chrome if you didn't do yet).

After installation close the browser and start again - yup it's updating so fast (absolutely kicking IE in the back). Go to youtube and copy video URL (right mouse click on the video, then left click on the correct option from the dropdown menu) - back to savetube when you put in the URL and click movie: Java should start a warning (a pop-up window) - put a tick in the always allow box and then OKay it - now it should work without a problem.

Ahh if you were a super smart person and have a "pop-up" blocker activated it might have blocked the Java - if SaveTube says: Error can't find the video - it's Java security problem.

Voila! Now you can save your favorite music and video from YouTube...
